How to use Skype in Windows8 without Microsoft Account

Posted by Muhammed Posted on Wednesday, December 04, 2013
Today I came across an issue with Skype in Windows8 and I am surprised that Microsoft forcing to create a an account and merge with Skype during the installation.

When I go through Skype support, I got information that if you are using Windows 8 operating system, you should have Microsoft account to download Skype or any other application from the Windows Store. Also when you run the Skype first time, you will be prompted to sign in to Skype with your Microsoft account and merge it otherwise you could not able to move forward. They claims that if you merge your account, you can continue to use Skype normally and also be able to contact your Messenger friends.

I think its annoying and most of the people don't want to do that. During my search in Internet I found a solution that you can follow to solve this problem

Solution:- Download Skype from and install on your Windows8 computer.

Please write your comments and share if you know any alternate solution to use modern Skype in Windows 8 without Microsoft account.

How to login multiple Skype account on the same Computer

Posted by Muhammed Posted on Monday, July 22, 2013
These days we often use Internet to talk with our friends or family, especially if they are out of town or city. Skype is high quality software which makes an easy way to chat and talk with our beloved ones. There is so much you can do with Skype like free Skype to Skype call, low cost calls and text message to mobiles, video calls and more...

Here I would like to share a simple tweak who wishes to log in multiple Skype account on same computer at the same time. By default it lets you login only a single account on a computer at the same time. You just follow the below steps to make it multiple

1. Open Run (Press Windows + R key from your keyboard together to open Run)

2. In the Run window, type the below command and then press enter

   "C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /Secondary

Each time when you run the above command, you will get a Skype window where you have to enter your user name and password. Use different credential that you have and it lets you login multiple account in same computer.

Please note that the above command works only if  Skype installed on the “C” drive. If it is installed on any other drive or path, then write the exact path and follow the secondary switch.

Hope you enjoyed it!!!
